Topic:
working around retired Army soldiers.
In this entry I hope to share about the events or areas of thought I have had in the past couple of
weeks. First off, I want to discuss my experience working around retired Army veterans and some of
their quirks or tendencies. Its hard to really discuss with clarity as to what the tendencies are, because I
may misrepresent them. Here goes, office comradery from my fellow coworkers really shines through.
By what I mean is, if another person comes from another work area and spats off to anyone or a
particular person. The whole office will rally to the side of one in our office. They don’t just sit passively
bye and let the situation escalate, they step in and tend to shut it down to a more level-headed
situation.
Veterans from all branches of service is a mixed bag, just like in a civilian work force you have a
mixed bag of characters. I’m going to do my best to describe my co-workers. Not by name, but by their
role they have.
My Seven Co-workers:
Mr. B, Big burly of a man, loud when he’s fired up, likes political topics, which tend to be the topics that
fire him up, kind of rough around the edges, overall good guy when you get to know him. Appearances
aren’t everything.
Mr. Ter, dog trainer, (hunting dogs) mostly quite unless provoked, tends to speak on certain topics.
Always on the go.
Mr. Luv, Soft Spoken, kind man, takes a joke really well, also dishes them back out, been at the office the
longest, quite man.
Mr. W.C, tends to be a gossip, loves to deal in hypotheticals, skater, rabbit whole hunter, mostly a ghost.
Mr. I.H, Loud, filter less, diva minded, loves attention, fillings easily hurt.
Mr. tra, Short, plump of a man, nice to speak to, ladies’ man according to everyone in the office, mainly
teased on this aspect.
Mr. T-code, Young man, loud, fits in well with everyone in office, very hard working, filter less, likes to
crack a joke.
Overall atmosphere in our work center, is loud, comical, detailed oriented and heavy on integrity.
I enjoy working with those in my office it’s a place that you never know what is next. Everyone overall
gets along well with each other. Topics vary so never know what might be discussed.
